Welcome to the Design and Construction Services Department of Wayne State University. Our role is to manage the design and construction of projects at the University. A project manager will be responsible for all phases of work on a single project. We develop the scope and estimates for a project, manage the selection of design professionals as well as the design process, and provide leadership during the implementation of bidding and construction through occupancy, acting as the Owner's Representative in all aspects of the design and construction process. Our stewardship of the University's construction spending is paramount, and we work with our design and construction teams, and user groups to ensure that WSU achieves high quality, high value projects, constructed in accordance with the University's standards.
