Tom Adams Field - Football Stadium Lighting

The project scope includes the purchase and installation of four new lighting standards and the necessary quantity of floodlights to achieve illumination necessary for televised broadcasting of sporting events.  Because Tom Adams Field and its related facilities do not have sufficient electrical capacity to support the electrical loads of the stadium lighting system the project has been design to be supported by a portable electric power generator until such time as a new and larger electrical service can be provided by Detroit Edison.  Facilities Planning and Management does not anticipate the new Detroit Edison service to be available until sometime in 2013.  A second phase project to provide the new electrical service will be initiated once a firm quote has been negotiated with Detroit Edison.
